Eastport, Maine, December 7, 1861, 1¢ blue 1861, and three 3¢ rose 1861s, pay the 10¢ rate to Cuba.  Cover endorsed "per 'Karnack' steamer of 10th December."
Eastport, Maine, indistinct date, appears to read October 2?, 1862 or 1863, patriotic envelope (Weiss E-L-12), 3¢ rose 1861 pays the domestic letter rate to East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. 


Eastport, Maine, May 14 no year date but circa 1862-68, 3¢ rose 1861 pays the domestic letter rate to Andover Massachusetts.

Eastport, August 24, 1869, 6¢ ultramarine 1869 pays the treaty rate to St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, with St. John arrival backstamp that same day.  Endorsed "Please forward in haste."  The letter probably originated on Campobello Island, New Brunswick, and was carried out of the mails to Eastport to take advantage of the steamboat from Eastport to St. John.  Illustrated cover of the Charlotte County Lodge, No. 6, Order of British Templars, Campobello Island, New Brunswick.  The Order of British Templars was temperance organization active in Canada in the 1860s and 1870s.

Eastport, Maine, June 20, no year date but circa 1875 - 82, 1¢ blue and 2¢ vermillion large banknotes pay the domestic letter rate to Gorham, Maine. Eastport negative "E" cancels.

Eastern Express Company, large express label
generally affixed to parcels rather than letters.  "FROM EASTPORT" label would generally be used on parcels accepted at Eastport, but could been affixed at Eastport on parcels handed off by conjunctive express partners.  The 51 Devonshire St. Boston address dates the label to the 1869 to 1874 period.
